ASX RELEASE

Updated JORC 2012 on Historical Quinns and Mt Ida South Exploration Results

Highlights

  • JORC 2012 on historical exploration results for the Quinns and Mt Ida South prospects commenced

  • Exceptional results on all prospects confirmed

  • Data review is continuing with further updates expected in the coming weeks

Latitude Consolidated Limited (ASX:LCD) is pleased to announce the interim results from the historical data review and update to JORC 2012 standard. High grade drilling intersections have been reported at all of the prospects within the Quinns and Mt South Ida tenement package reaffirming the company’s strong view that the project areas have the potential to deliver a significant gold discovery. Quinns and Mt Ida South Gold Projects are located approximately 110km west of Leonora in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia (see Figure 1) .

As previously reported in the ASX announcement on 6 July 2016, the Quinns and Mt Ida South Project covers a large area of the highly prospective and under explored Mt Ida Greenstone Belt, which also hosts Great Eastern Goldfields Ltd’s high grade Mt Ida South underground resource of 259,000t at 15.4g/t for 128,000 Oz. The significant land package and multiple prospects with known mineralisation provide an exciting opportunity for immediate resource consolidation and expansion.

The resources are spread over 11 current prospects in the Quinns and Mt Ida South Project areas. All prospects have high grade gold results from historical drilling:

Quinns Prospects

Forrest Belle Open pit

Historical drilling at the abandoned Forrest Belle open pit, which was mined to a maximum depth of 26m in 1997, indicates that there is excellent potential for the known mineralisation to be extended both along strike and at depth. Historical production has included U/G mining 3,940t @ 27.3 g/t and Open pit 28,234t @ 3.4g/t .

Boudie Rat

Historical mining completed in 1997 was only to a depth of 25m. Drilling at the northern end of the Boudie Rat pit shows that strong mineralisation exists up to 25m below the pit floor with multiple grades exceeding 3.0g/t . A significant intersection of 3m @ 2.84g/t exists approximatley 50m below the current pit floor. Drilling to the south of the Boudie Rat pit is currently limited and broadly spaced.

There are multiple significant gold values below the current pit which gives the potential for either a cut back on the existing pit, or underground mining. (Historical production included U/G mining 3,450 @ 6.5 g/t, Open pit 42,681t @ 4.16 g/t) .

Excellent potential exists to both extend the mineralisation at depth below the existing pit and to extend the known strike length of mineralisation .

Quinn Hills

The Quinn Hills mine workings consist of at least 2 sub-parallel, north west oriented lines of quartz lodes lying approximatley 200m apart. The eastern line of historical workings have a 220m strike length and consist of several shafts and shallow pits with historical production from U/G mining reported as 2,200t @ 6.8 g/t. Drilling in close proximity to the historic mine indicates that there is excellent potential to extend the mineralisation with further drilling both along strike and at depth.

Boudie West, Belvidere, Boudies Nest, and Boudie Beach

These prospects are located to the west and south west of the Boudie Rat pit (see Figure 2 )

  • Boudies Nest prospect is located 300m south and 100m west of the Boudie Rat pit. The prospect has been drilled on 4 sections over 100m of strike.

  • Belvidere is located 100m west of Boudies Nest and has been drilled over a 250m strike length over 4 drill sections. Further potential exists both at depth and along strike, particularly to the north.

  • Boudie West prospect is located 300m west of the Boudie Rat workings and open pit with drilling targeting a significant soil anomaly.

  • Boudie Beach is located approximatley 600m south of Boudies Nest. It is possible that this mineralisation links up with the mineralisation from Boudies Nest but further drilling is required to confirm this. Anomolous results have been intersected in this area on broad (~100m) sections with little or no overlap between drill holes.

Mt Ida South Prospects

Mt Ida South is located approximatley 16km south of the Quinns Project area and includes the resources at the Tims Find and Spotted Dog prospects, and the Exploration Target at Black Kite (see Figure 3.).The project area is located approximately 5km south east of Eastern Goldfields Ltd historical Mt Ida mine which has a current underground resource of 259,000t @ 15.4 g/t for 128,000 Oz .

  • Tims Find/Spotted Dog Prospects are located approximatley 15.5km south of the Quinns Mining centre (Boudie Rat and Forrest Belle open pits). Previous exploration drilling has been completed over 1km. Limited RC drilling has been completed on 40m sections. Mineralisation at Tims Find is associated with shearing along the mafic/ultramafic contact. Drilling on most sections is limited to 1 to 3 holes and extends to depths of less than 75m. Mineralised trends as determined by the drilling are open to the north and south. Further drilling is required to evaluate and extend mineralisation.

  • Black Kite is located 10 kilometers south of the Quinns Mining Centre. Previous exploration at Black Kite has involved geochemical RAB drilling to 2 metres on 100 metre centres with limited RC drilling completed on 200m centres. Drilling outlined gold mineralisation over a a strike length of 1.2km and again has been only partially drilled to a maximum depth of 100m. Mineralisation appears to be opon to the north and south. Gold mineralisation is associated with surface laterites and the deeper mineralisation is associated with talc-chlorite schists with further mineralisation associated with the adjacent eastern amphibolite unit. Data review is continuing on the Black Kite prospect and the Company will update the market once this data becomes available.

the1980’s key exploration work for gold was carried out by Spargos
Exploration NL and Austamax Resources (later to become Australian
Consolidated Minerals). In 1996 Consolidated Gold Mines purchased
the Quinn’s project and subsequently went onto receivership;
management passed to Arrow Resource Management (on behalf of
Rothschild Australia), and through Australian Gold Mines NL, Arrow
mined the open pits at Forrest Belle and Boudie Rat to a maximum
25m vertical depth between January and March 1997. Reported
production was 28,234t @ 3.4g/t for 3,086oz at Forrest Belle, and
42,681t @ 4.16g/t for 5,709oz at Boudie Rat. In 2000 Barra
Resources purchased the project from Arrow and carried out
extensive data compilation, some minor drilling and a low-level
aeromagnetic survey. Sipa Resources managed the project between
2004 and 2006 when Barra resumed management. The project was
sold to Wild Acre Metals in 2009, who carried out a further 456 RAB,
Aircore and RC holes across the project as a whole. Prior to the data
compilation carried out by Barra Resources, comprehensive
collection of drilling and sampling metadata was not practiced. The
drillholes quoted in this release primarily comprise holes drilled prior
to the comprehensive data collection around the known resources.

Geology Deposit type, geological setting and style of mineralisation. The deposits and nearby prospects are located in the Archaean
Yilgarn Greenstone Belt of WA, more specifically within the northern
portion of the Mount Ida Greenstone Belt forming the eastern limb of
the regional south plunging Copperfield Anticline. The geology
comprises Archaean mafic to ultramafic lithologies bounded by
granitic intrusions, and the region has been metamorphosed to lower
amphibolite facies. A major shear zone, interpreted to be the Zuleika
Shear, intersects the eastern part of the project area. Much of the
project area is covered by colluvial and alluvial deposits, with
thickness ranging from <1m to tens of metres. Gold mineralisation in
the area is associated with quartz veining +/- sulphides within
sheared ultramafic and mafic units; along the Zuleika Shear gold is
often found in quartz/pyrite lodes which are typically enveloped by
tremolite schist, within intensely sheared amphibolites.

results and longer lengths of low grade results, the procedure used
for such aggregation should be stated and some typical examples of
such aggregations should be shown in detail.
The assumptions used for any reporting of metal equivalent values
should be clearly stated.
No metal equivalent values are used.
Relationship
between
mineralisation
widths and
intercept
lengths
These relationships are particularly important in the reporting of
Exploration Results.
If the geometry of the mineralisation with respect to the drill hole
angle is known, its nature should be reported.
If it is not known and only the down hole lengths are reported, there
should be a clear statement to this effect (eg ‘down hole length, true
width not known’).
The results reported are downhole lengths only; true width of the
mineralisation has yet to be determined.
Diagrams
Appropriate maps and sections (with scales) and tabulations of
intercepts should be included for any significant discovery being
reported These should include, but not be limited to a plan view of
drill hole collar locations and appropriate sectional views.
Refer to Figures 2 and 3 in the body of the text for relevant plans and
sectional views.
Balanced
reporting
Where comprehensive reporting of all Exploration Results is not
practicable, representative reporting of both low and high grades
and/or widths should be practiced to avoid misleading reporting of
Exploration Results.

This release contains significant intercepts only.
A more comprehensive table of results will be provided laterwhen it
has been compiled and verified.
Other
substantive
exploration
data
Other exploration data, if meaningful and material, should be reported
including (but not limited to): geological observations; geophysical
survey results; geochemical survey results; bulk samples – size and
method of treatment; metallurgical test results; bulk density,
groundwater, geotechnical and rock characteristics; potential
deleterious or contaminating substances.
Drill hole data is reported on aerial photographs and interpreted
geology showing the extent of previous open-cut mining, interpreted
mineralised shears and interpreted anomalous end-of-hole historic
RAB gold results.
Further work
The nature and scale of planned further work (eg tests for lateral
extensions or depth extensions or large-scale step-out drilling).
Diagrams clearly highlighting the areas of possible extensions,
including the main geological interpretations and future drilling areas,
provided this information is not commercially sensitive.
Confirmation and interpretation of historic work is being carried out by
Latitude Consolidated as part of the acquisition of the Quinn’s and Mt
Ida South Gold projects from MGK Resources (ASX release dated 6th
July 2016). Ongoing exploration work, which will include further
drilling to confirm and extend existing targets where appropriate, is
planned.
