An aggregate of 16,500,000 A Shares had been privately placed to institutional investors. Dealings in the A Shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange are expected to commence on or prior to 18th August, 1999. Reference is made to the previous announcement released by Guangdong Kelon Electrical Holdings Company Limited (the "Company") on 28th May, 1999 relating to the A Share Issue (the "Announcement"). Terms used in this announcement shall have the same meanings as those used in the Announcement.
