APPOINTMENT OF JOINT COMPANY SECRETARIES

The board of directors of Hisense Kelon Electrical Holdings Company Limited (the “Company”) hereby announces that Ms. Wong Tak Fong ( “ Ms. Wong ”) and Ms. Li Lin ( “ Ms. Li ”) have been appointed as the joint company secretaries of the Company with effect from 4 April 2011.

As Ms. Li does not possess the qualifications as are required under Rules 8.17 and 19A.16 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ Listing Rules ”), the Company has made an application to The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ Stock Exchange ”) for, and the Stock Exchange has granted to the Company, a waiver from strict compliance with such requirements for three years from 4 April 2011 in relation to the appointment of Ms. Li as the joint company secretary of the Company on condition that Ms. Li is assisted by Ms. Wong so as to acquire the “relevant experience” under Rule 8.17(3) of the Listing Rules to discharge her functions as a company secretary and Ms. Li will attend at least 25 hours of training courses every year to be conducted by the Stock Exchange, the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries or any other accredited professional body. At the end of the three years, the Company should demonstrate to the Stock Exchange that Ms. Li, with the qualified person’s assistance for three years, would have acquired the relevant experience under Rule 8.17(3) of the Listing Rules so that the Company will not require a further waiver.

Ms. Wong is the managing director of General Bright Consultants Ltd., a corporate consultancy and accounting services provider in Hong Kong. She holds a master degree in Business Administration from the University of Bradford, and is an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in the United Kingdom, a certified tax adviser and an

associate member of the Taxation Institute of Hong Kong.

Ms. Li graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (華中科技大學) and obtained a bachelor degree in Law in 2002, and joined the Company in the same year. In 2003, Ms. Li obtained the qualification for being a secretary to the board of directors from the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. Ms. Li had been an investor relations representative and a H-share securities affairs representative of the Company. Since 2006, Ms. Li has been the H-share securities affairs supervisor of the Company.
