Bucharest, October 1, 2025 – MedLife, the leader of the private medical services market in Romania, expands its national network and inaugurates a new multidisciplinary hyperclinic in Pitesti, following a total investment of 3.1 million euros.
The new unit, with an area of 1,500 sqm, was designed as a modern medical hub, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and a multidisciplinary team, to provide patients with access to integrated services, from consultations and lab tests, to imaging investigations and day hospitalization.
The MedLife Hyperclinic in Pitesti includes 21 consultation rooms, 2 offices for collecting biological samples, 13 beds for day hospitalization, a fully equipped medical imaging area and its own analysis laboratory. Among the special facilities are the small surgery room, with CO2 laser and modern equipment for minimally invasive interventions.
Patients in Arges County now benefit from complete medical services: imaging (MRI, computed tomography, mammography with tomosynthesis, radiology, DEXA and ultrasound), medical laboratory tests, including genetics and pathological anatomy, consultations for all medical specialties, medical aesthetics, pediatrics and gastroenterology. At the same time, for the first time locally, patients will have access to complex cardiac investigations, such as cardio-CT and cardio-MRI.
The offer of specialties covers a wide range of medical needs, including gastroenterology, cardiology and pediatric cardiology, pulmonology, ENT, endocrinology, gynecology, orthopedics and pediatric orthopedics, urology, ophthalmology, hematology, dermatology, general and pediatric surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, proctology, rheumatology, oncology, diabetes, nutrition and metabolic diseases. Some of the medical services are already available under contract with the Health Insurance House.
The clinic's team consists of 80 doctors and 30 nurses, operators and support staff, specialists from Pitesti, Bucharest and Craiova, many of them with local and national recognition. The development plans include the continuous expansion of the team and the attraction of doctors in specialties that are lacking for the Arges region, such as interventional neurosurgery or interventional urology.
The impact on the community was quickly felt: in the first months of activity alone, the clinic served over 800 patients in July, almost 1,300 in August and about 500 in the first week of September, figures that confirm the acute need for modern medical services in the area. Estimates show that, with the expansion of services and the signing of contracts for day hospitalization, the clinic's capacity will exceed 5,000 patients per month.
"This investment marks an important moment for the local community. Pitesti now has a modern clinic, with a complete medical offer and top technology, which can meet the diverse needs of patients. The first months showed us that there is a very high demand for medical services at high standards, and our team is ready to meet this level of expectations," said Dr. Cristian Lamba, Manager MedLife Solomed Pitești.

"The development of the local medical infrastructure is one of our priorities. Through the investment in Pitesti, we are strengthening MedLife's commitment to bringing the expertise of our teams closer to patients and access to complex investigations, which until now were required to travel to university centers. We aim to be with the patients in Argeș in the long term and to contribute to improving their quality of life," added Dorin Preda, Deputy CEO of MedLife Group.
The opening of the new hyperclinic reinforces MedLife's commitment to develop private medical infrastructure nationwide, through investments in advanced technologies, elite medical teams and prevention and treatment solutions aimed at increasing the life expectancy and quality of life of patients in Romania.
