MEDICLIN takes over AWO Rehabilitationsklinik Bad Münder as of May1, 2017

Offenburg, April 5, 2017 -MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft (MediClin) will take over the AWO Rehabilitationsklinik Bad Münder, subject to conditions still to be fulfilled, as of May 1, 2017. The necessary contracts were signed with the AWO Gesundheitsdienste gGmbH (AWO GSD) end of March. The AWO Rehabilitationsklinik is directly located in the neighbourhood of the MediClin Deister Weser Kliniken and the MediClin Seniorenresidenz Deister Weser. About the purchase price silence was agreed.

The MediClin Deister Weser Kliniken consist of a clinic for acute psychosomatic and psychotherapy, a specialist clinic for psychosomatic and behavioural therapy and a specialist clinic for oncology and gastroenterology. The clinic holds 190 beds and employs 170 staff members. The MediClin Seniorenresidenz Deister Weser belongs also to the MediClin site Bad Münder as well as an ambulatory care service. In total so far MediClin employs about 210 staff members in Bad Münder.

The AWO Rehabilitationsklinik Bad Münder is a modern facility and covers the area of expertise oncology (head/throat tumor) as well as the areas of expertise urology und nephrology. The clinic is an Academic Teaching Hospital of the Hannover Medical School and has 140 beds and currently employs102 staff members. About 60 employees of medical and nursing care services and technical and medical-technical services will be taken on. The possibility is offered to the employees whose workplaces are omitted to apply for a job within the MediClin Group.

The AWO Rehabilitationsklinik Bad Münder generated sales of about six million Euros in 2016.
