Offenburg, August 13, 2009 - The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of
MediClin AG, Günter Schlatter, has resigned as member of the Supervisory
Board and as Chairman after the end of yesterdays Supervisory Board meeting
because he wants to assign to new entrepreneurial tasks.

In consultation with the Supervisory Board members the Management Board
will submit a court applications to appoint Dr. Jan Boetius as a new member
of the Supervisory Board. It is intended to elect him afterwards as new
chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Dr. Boetius was until his retirement end of 2003 member of the Management
Board of ERGO Versicherungsgruppe AG as well as Chairman of the Management
Board of DKV Deutsche Krankenversicherung AG. He has represented the
private insurance industry in numerous organisation committees.

From beginning of October 2001 till the end of December 2003 Dr. Boetius
was a member of the Supervisory Board of MediClin AG.
