Offenburg, September 25, 2009 - In consultation with the Supervisory Board
the Management Board of MEDICLIN Aktiengesellschaft has submitted a court
application to appoint Dr. Jan Boetius as a new member of the Supervisory
Board. The court application was effected on August 31, 2009. Dr. Boetius
was elected as Chairman of the Supervisory Board concordant with the
abstention of one vote:

Dr. Boetius was member of the Management Board of ERGO Versicherungsgruppe
AG as well as Chairman of the Management Board of DKV Deutsche
Krankenversicherung AG until his retirement end of 2003. He has represented
the private insurance industry in numerous organisation committees.

From beginning of October 2001 till the end of December 2003 Dr. Boetius
was a member of the Supervisory Board of MediClin AG.
