MEDICA ANNOUNCES CLOSING WITH EVOQUA WATER TECHNOLOGIES AND ACQUIRES ASSETS TO MANUFACTURE BLOOD AND WATER FILTER PRODUCTS
Medolla (MO), 1 April 2023 - Medica S.p.A., an integrated Italian biomedical and MedTech group with a strong international footprint, announces that its subsidiary Medica USA Inc closed with Evoqua Water Technologies (NYSE: AQUA), an industry leader in missioncritical water treatment solutions, the purchase contract of assets to manufacture blood and water filter products. Evoqua will retain distribution rights to the water filter product line, including bioscience product filters and automated endoscope reprocessor (AER) filters.
The acquisition of these assets allows Medica to use its strong expertise in hollow fiber membranes and filter design and production to increase its portfolio products and continue bringing quality products to US and international markets, in line with the geographic expansion strategy of its business.
