Re Preliminary Results Announcement

The Board of Mears Group PLC (LSE: MER) announces that, following a request issued to all listed companies by the Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA"), the publication of the Group's results for the year ended 31 December 2019 will be delayed beyond 24 March 2020, being the date previously announced as the date of their publication.

Over the weekend, the FCA issued an announcement on its website asking quoted companies to "observe a moratorium on the publication of preliminary financial statements for at least two weeks" owing to the impact of Covid-19 on companies and auditors.

The Board remains confident that the Group will report audited results for 2019 in line with current market expectations and the guidance provided in the announcement of 21 January 2020.
