Appointment of Senior Independent Director

In line with best practice, McColl's Retail Group plc today announces that Georgina Harvey an existing Independent Non-Executive Director, has been appointed to the new role of Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.  Georgina joined the Board on 7 February 2014 and will remain as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit and Nomination Committees.
