MBB Industries AG: Hanke Tissue is doubling its production capacity

Berlin, 13 July 2012 – MBB Industries AG (ISIN DE000A0ETBQ4), a family-owned, medium-sized corporation, plans to double production capacity at its subsidiary Hanke Tissue Sp. z o.o. in Poland. Primary focus of the activity is the installation of a new paper machine which will be delivered by Recard Spa, Italy and shall be operational in December of 2013. The current total annual production capacity of 14,000 tons of tissue mother rolls shall be increased to 32,000 tons. Hanke Tissue produces hygienic paper products like tissue mother rolls, napkins, handkerchiefs, toilet paper and kitchen rolls. With its 'aha' and 'Silver Square' brands, Hanke is market leader in the Polish market for tissue napkins and enjoys a strong competitive position in Eastern European consumer goods market. In 2011 it recorded profitable revenue of around EUR22m. MBB Industries has been investing heavily into the development of the company over the past years, including a new logistics center and modern processing equipment. For the pending increase of capacities, Hanke plans to invest up to a double-digit million amount until 2014. The action is aimed to enable Hanke to seize growth opportunities in forthcoming years which result from its excellent competitive positioning.
