The PFSA decision on imposing on mBank S.A. a buffer of othersystemically important institution

With reference to the current report no. 29/2019 of 13 September 2019the Management Board of mBank S.A. ("Bank") informs that on 16 October2019 the Bank obtained a decision of the Polish Financial SupervisionAuthority ("PFSA") dated 14 October 2019 on imposing on the Bank abuffer of other systemically important institution.

As a result of the review carried out in accordance with art. 46 par. 1of the Act of 5 August 2015 on Macroprudential Supervision of theFinancial System and Crisis Management (Journal of Laws of 2019, item483), after consulting the Financial Stability Committee, the PFSAimposed on the Bank, a buffer of other systemically importantinstitution in the equivalent equal to 0.75% of the total risk exposureamount calculated in accordance with Art. 92 par. 3 of the Regulation ofthe European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No. 575/2013 of 26 June2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investmentfirms, amending Regulation (EU) No. 648/2012 (Regulation No. 575/2013).

The previous buffer stood at 0.50% of the total risk exposure amountcalculated in accordance with Article. 92 par. 3 of Regulation No.575/2013.
