Board Renewal

MaxiTRANS Industries Limited (ASX:MXI) announces the appointment of Greg Sedgwick as an independent, non-executive director of MaxiTRANS. The appointment of Mr Sedgwick is the next step in the Board renewal process that was started last year.

Mr Sedgwick is an experienced non-executive director. He is currently Chair of two private equity companies, Next Gen Clubs, a leisure business, and Ampcontrol, a technology and engineering services firm. Mr Sedgwick has extensive local and international experience in the industrial and manufacturing sectors, including with BOC Ltd and as CEO of listed building products company Crane Group Ltd (previously ASX:CRG). Mr Sedgwick will assume the role of Chair of the Remuneration & Human Resources Committee in May 2021.

Mr Robert Wylie, Chair of MaxiTRANS, said “Greg’s extensive experience in the industrial and manufacturing sector, as well as distribution will be a valuable contribution to our business. We welcome Greg to MaxiTRANS”

Ms Samantha Hogg has resigned as a director and as Chair of the Audit & Risk Management Committee, effective at 5.00 pm today, 19 March 2021, to focus on other commitments. Mr Wylie said “We thank Samantha for her enormous contribution to MaxiTRANS over the last 5 years, and wish her all the best for the future.”

Ms Mary Verschuer has agreed to assume the role of Chair of the Audit & Risk Management. Mr Wylie said “Mary has added great value to the Board since her appointment in January 2019, and will continue to do so in her role as Chair of the Audit & Risk Management Committee.”

Mr Sedgwick will be subject to re-election to the Board at the Company’s 2021 AGM.
