Director appointed to MaxiTRANS Board

MaxiTRANS Industries Limited (ASX:MXI) announces that Mary Verschuer has today been appointed as an independent, non-executive director of MaxiTRANS.

Ms Verschuer is an experienced non-executive director, with previous roles on the Boards of THC Global Group Limited (ASX: THC) and Nuplex Industries Limited (previously ASX:NPX). Ms Verschuer is currently President of The Infants’ Home, a provider of integrated early childhood education, family day care, early intervention and health services.

Ms Verschuer has over 25 years of global senior management experience across a range of industries, including leading the Minerals and Metals business for Schenck Process and the Asian business for Huhtamaki. In those roles, Ms Verschuer had responsibility for manufacturing, supply chain and sales operations in diverse geographies and cultures.

Mr Robert Wylie, Chairman of MaxiTRANS, said, “Mary brings global experience in engineering, capital equipment, packaging and mining services, including significant time on the ground in Asia. We are looking forward to Mary’s contribution to MaxiTRANS as we pursue growth in China and South East Asia as well as in Australia and New Zealand.”

Ms Verschuer will be subject to re-election to the Board at the Company’s 2019 AGM.
