Retirement of Michael Brockhoff as Managing Director

MaxiTRANS Industries (ASX:MXI), Australia’s largest supplier of road transport trailing equipment solutions, today announced that Managing Director, Michael Brockhoff, has announced his intention to retire from the company.

Mr Brockhoff has been the Managing Director of MaxiTRANS since June 2000.

Chairman of MaxiTRANS, Robert Wylie, paid tribute to Mr Brockhoff’s long service to the company.

“Michael has made an enormous contribution to MaxiTRANS over the past 16 years as Managing Director. He has been instrumental in building a business of significant scale and geographic scope to compete effectively in our chosen markets in trailers and parts and components.

“He has also been a strong advocate for the road transport industry and on behalf of the Board, I would like to acknowledge Michael’s personal contribution to MaxiTRANS over this long period and offer him our very best wishes for the future.

“I am also grateful to Michael in agreeing to remain with MaxiTRANS while the search for his replacement is undertaken as the company transitions to new leadership.”

Mr Brockhoff said it had been a privilege to serve as Managing Director of MaxiTRANS and after 16 years, it is now an appropriate time to retire from the company.

“The business has changed significantly over that time, through a series of acquisitions and other growth initiatives which together have created a strong strategic platform for the company.

“It has been an honour to work with the team at MaxiTRANS and my colleagues on the Board and I look forward to watching the company build on this platform further to deliver superior value for shareholders.”

The Board has commenced a search process to appoint a replacement for Mr Brockhoff and will advise when that process is complete.
