Gaithersburg, Maryland - 1 December 2021: MaxCyte (LSE: MXCT, MXCN), a leading commercial cell-engineering company focused on providing enabling platform technologies to advance innovative cell-based research as well as next-generation cell therapeutic discovery, development and commercialization, announces that pursuant to its block admission facility, it has recently issued 34,568 of common stock, $0.01 par, of the Company ("Common Stock") in satisfaction of the exercise of share options. The new Common Stock will rank pari passu with the existing shares of common stock of the Company.
As of 30 November 2021, the total issued stock capital of the Company following the recent issue of the new Common Stock is 101,202,705 shares of Common Stock. Shareholders in the Company may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the stock capital of the Company.
The number of unrestricted shares of Common Stock trading under the symbol 'MXCT' is 100,872,705 and the number of restricted shares of Common Stock trading under the symbol 'MXCN' is 330,000.
