MARZOCCHI POMPE: A NEW BUILDING PURCHASED IN ZOLA PREDOSA NEXT TO THE CURRENT ONE THAT WILL INCREASE PRODUCTION CAPACITY AND IMPROVE OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY
A Photovoltaic System is going to be installed
Bologna, 17 October 2022 - Marzocchi Pompe S.p.A. (EGM:MARP), a leading company in the design, production and marketing of high-performance gear pumps and motors, announces that it has purchased an industrial property of approximately 4800 square metres, of which approximately 1800 covered, next to the Zola Predosa plant for a total amount of € 1.15 million, which will allow it to increase production capacity and improve operational efficiency.
The purchase is part of the Group's real estate rationalisation and follows the sale in July, for € 670,000, of a smaller building (about 3,000 square metres, of which about 1,600 covered), also located in Zola Predosa but distant from the current plant in Via Grazia street and industrially no longer used.
The new facility, for which renovation work, including the installation of photovoltaic panels, is scheduled to begin shortly, will be used in part to increase the Group's production capacity and the remainder will continue to be leased to the current tenants for the time being.
Gabriele Bonfiglioli, CEO of Marzocchi Pompe commented: "This is a very important step for Marzocchi Pompe, because it will allow us to start a process of space optimisation that will increase production capacity and improve operational efficiency. Furthermore, the installation of a photovoltaic system will allow, already in the short term, important energy savings and significant emission reduction, in line with the Group's ESG objectives".
