Marsons Limited, Eastern India’s only manufacturer of Extra High Voltage (EHV) power transformers and one of India’s most accomplished transformer companies with over 65 years of heritage, today announced that it has received vendor approval from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for supply of power transformers. This approval — awarded by India’s apex power transmission body — marks a historic milestone for the Company and for the eastern region’s power infrastructure landscape.
With this approval, Marsons is now the only PGCIL-approved EHV transformer manufacturer across Eastern India and ten neighbouring states, encompassing West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipur, Nagaland, and Mizoram. No other transformer manufacturer in this vast and strategically important geography currently holds this distinction.

Its transformers are type-tested up to $160\mathrm{MVA} / 220\mathrm{kV}$, and the Company holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, CE certification, and BIS approval. Marsons exports to the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Bangladesh, and continues to actively expand its high-voltage product range.
