Phase 2 Soil Sampling Program Commences at Yindi

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • 2,149 auger soil sampling program has begun at Yindi.

  • Program will target high resolution infill sampling over seven key lithium (Li) and gold (Au) target areas.

  • This program aims to generate new AC/RC drilling targets for Li and Au at Yindi.

Marquee Resources Limited ( “Marquee” or “the Company” ) ( ASX:MQR ) is pleased to announce that it has begun the second phase of auger geochemistry at the Yindi Li-Au Project ( “ Yindi ” ). The Company has commenced a 2,149-sample auger program to infill numerous lithium and gold targets uncovered in its first-pass soil geochemistry program conducted earlier this year. As Marquee has already undertaken extensive geophysical data acquisition, drilling for both Li and Au targets is scheduled to follow the interpretation of this program’s results, in line with the Company’s aggressive exploration strateg y.

Marquee Executive Chairman, Mr Charles Thomas, commented:

“ I think what the past results showed us earlier this year, is that the Yindi Project has the potential to host significant lithium and gold mineralisation, and we’re excited to begin the next phase of exploration at the Project. The application of modern exploration techniques has already identified large-scale, previously unrecognised, gold and lithium geochemical anomalies, so we are very keen to find out about the full potential of the Project.”

“ Outside of the lithium potential that initially attracted Marquee to this Project, the emergence of robust gold targets is adding some extra excitement. The in-fill soil survey has been designed to strengthen these gold target areas alongside the lithium target areas prior to our future drill testing .”

The Yindi Project

The Yindi Project is located 90km east of Kalgoorlie in the Kurnalpi Terrane of the Eastern Goldfields (Figure 3). Historical exploration work has been gold focused and is of an early-stage nature, consisting of soil geochemistry and shallow drilling. Previous tenement operators have highlighted the potential for the discovery of economic gold mineralisation throughout the Project, however the Company will also explore for LCT-pegmatite mineral systems.
