The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 17 November 2014 that Helen Weir has been appointed Chief Finance Officer of Marks and Spencer Group plc and will join the Board on a date to be confirmed.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Listing Rules, Helen Weir has advised that she is currently a non-executive director of SABMiller plc, and was previously Group Executive Director, Retail at Lloyds Banking Group plc.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (3) of the Listing Rules, Helen Weir was a director of Kesa International France Limited which was liquidated voluntarily on 9 March 2001.

In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (2), (4), (5), and (6) of the Listing Rules, Helen Weir has advised that she has no details to disclose.
