The following information is given subsequent to the announcement made on 21 May 2013 that Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne would be appointed to the Board of Marks and Spencer Group plc as Executive Director, Marketing and Business Development from 10 July 2013.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13(1) of the Listing Rules Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne has confirmed that he is currently a Non-executive Director of Brown-Forman Inc and was a Director of HSNi Inc. from August 2008 to May 2013.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Listing Rules, he has advised that he has no details to disclose.
