(b) On April 12, 2013, Bruce J. Olson, Senior Vice President of The Marcus Corporation (the “Company”) and President of Marcus Theatres Corporation, the Company’s movie theatre division, notified the Company that he will retire from his position as an officer of the Company effective September 2013. Mr. Olson will continue to serve on the Board of Directors of the Company.

On April 12, 2013, the Company issued a press release announcing Mr. Olson’s retirement. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
