Eric Lambert joins Manitou as President, RTH Division (Rough Terrain Handling)
Ancenis, May 23, 2011 - Effective today, Eric Lambert joins Manitou as President, RTH Division (Rough Terrain Handling) Ancenis-based, Loire-Atlantique. He replaces in this position Christian Caleca who recently left the group.
Jean-Christophe Giroux, President and CEO, declared: "Eric Lambert brings a fresh look, a manufacturing background and a personal leadership which together represents real assets for our operational recovery. Eric Lambert is 43 and married with 3 children. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (X88) and from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (1993). He subsequently joined Renault Group where he built between 1994 and 2009 his industrial track record: metal cutting in Sandouville, innovation project leader at the Guyancourt Technocentre, Logan project leader with Dacia in Rumania, and deputy director of the Douai factory as well as manufacturing coordinator for all Renault plants. Since 2009 he has been managing director of the Aix-les-bains site with Alstom Grid, specializing in high voltage gas isolated substation.
With €586m in 2010, RTH accounts for 70% of Manitou revenue. RTH develops telehandlers (fixed or rotating, for agriculture or construction), aerial work platforms and rough terrain masted trucks. RTH employs 1,700 persons in four locations: Ancenis, Candé and Laillé (Pays de Loire, France) and Castelfranco (Bologna, Italy).
Manitou, the Material-Handling Reference, is headquartered in Ancenis (West of France). Manitou designs, assembles and distributes material-handling solutions for agriculture, construction and industry markets. Manitou reported in 2010 revenue of €838 millions, of which two thirds outside France. Business is conducted under the Manitou®, Gehl®, Mustang®, Loc® et Edge® trademarks, through 1,400 independent dealers in more than 120 countries. As of December 31, 2010, Manitou employed 2,800 people of which 40% outside France.
