Transaction in own shares

Man Group plc (the "Company") announces that on 1 June 2017 it purchased for cancellation 93,412 of its ordinary shares with a weighted average price of 158.0564 pence per ordinary share pursuant to its $100 million share repurchase programme, details of which were announced on 14 October 2016. The highest price paid per share was 158.7 pence and the lowest price paid per share was 156.4 pence. Details of the relevant repurchase transactions are set out below:

Number of shares repurchased: 93,412

Date of transaction: 1 June 2017

Time of transaction: 08:30 - 16:35

Price: 158.0564p

Broker: Merrill Lynch International

Since the commencement of the share repurchase programme, the Company has repurchased 51,095,368 ordinary shares in aggregate at a weighted average price of 129.8115 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the remaining number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,660,890,395.

The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.

All transactions under this programme will be published on the Company's website (www.man.com) on a weekly basis.
