Transaction in own shares

Man Group plc (the "Company") announces that on 13 March 2017 it purchased for cancellation 246,194 of its ordinary shares with a weighted average price of 147.6226 pence per ordinary share pursuant to its $100 million share repurchase programme, details of which were announced on 14 October 2016. The highest price paid per share was 148.2 pence and the lowest price paid per share was 146.9 pence. Details of the relevant repurchase transactions are set out below:

Time of transaction: 08:20 - 16:35

Price: 147.6226p

Broker: Merrill Lynch International

Since the commencement of the share repurchase programme, the Company has repurchased 41,795,355 ordinary shares in aggregate at a weighted average price of 125.5138 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the remaining number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,667,265,208.

The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.

All transactions under this programme will be published on the Company's website (www.man.com) on a weekly basis.
