Transaction in own shares

Man Group plc (the "Company") announces that on 1 December 2016 it purchased for cancellation 874,139 of its ordinary shares with a weighted average price of 114.4801 pence per ordinary share pursuant to its $100 million share repurchase programme, details of which were announced on 14 October 2016. The highest price paid per share was 115.5 pence and the lowest price paid per share was 112.9 pence. Details of the relevant repurchase transactions are set out below:

Time of transaction: 08:10 - 16:35

Price: 114.4801p

Broker: Merrill Lynch International

Since the commencement of the share repurchase programme, the Company has repurchased 14,465,644 ordinary shares in aggregate at a weighted average price of 122.0639 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the remaining number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,688,913,653.

The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.

All transactions under this programme will be published on the Company's website (www.man.com) on a weekly basis.
