Transaction in own shares

Man Group plc (the "Company") announces that on 16 November 2016 it purchased for cancellation 273,340 of its ordinary shares with a weighted average price of 126.4084 pence per ordinary share pursuant to its $100 million share repurchase programme, details of which were announced on 14 October 2016. The highest price paid per share was 129.1 pence and the lowest price paid per share was 125.1 pence. Details of the relevant repurchase transactions are set out below:

Time of transaction: 08:10 - 16:35

Price: 126.4084p

Broker: Merrill Lynch International

Since the commencement of the share repurchase programme, the Company has repurchased 8,972,866 ordinary shares in aggregate at a weighted average price of 123.8944 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the remaining number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,694,406,431.

The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.

All transactions under this programme will be published on the Company's website (www.man.com) on a weekly basis.
