Transaction in own shares

Man Group plc (the "Group") announces that on 20 October 2016 it purchased for cancellation 351,962 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 122.9543 pence per ordinary share pursuant to its $100 million share repurchase programme, details of which were announced on 14 October 2016. The highest price paid per share was 123.4 pence and the lowest price paid per share was 122.2 pence with a weighted average price of 122.9543 pence per share. Details of the relevant repurchase transactions are set out below:

Since the commencement of the share repurchase programme, the Group has repurchased 351,962 ordinary shares in aggregate at a weighted average price of 122.9543 pence per share.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the remaining number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,702,961,664.

The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.

All transactions under this programme will be published on the Company's website (www.man.com) on a weekly basis.
