Transaction in own shares

Man Group plc announces that on 22 May 2014 it purchased for cancellation 1,300,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 93.56 pence per ordinary share pursuant to its $115 million share repurchase programme, details of which were announced on 27 February and 6 March 2014. The highest price paid per share was 94.35 pence and the lowest price paid per share was 92.90 pence.

Following the cancellation of these shares, the remaining number of ordinary shares in issue will be 1,772,194,090.

The Company does not hold any shares in treasury.
