NEW PETROCHEMICAL CONTRACT AWARDED TO A MAIRE TECNIMONT-LED CONSORTIUM IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

• Engineering, Procurement and Site Services contract granted by Sibur Group
• The project relates to the second phase of the Amur gas development initiative and entails the implementation of one the largest petrochemical facility in the world

Milan, 5 May 2020 – Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that its subsidiary Tecnimont S.p.A., as majority leader of the consortium including MT Russia LLC, Sinopec Engineering Inc. and Sinopec Engineering Group Co., Ltd Russian Branch, has signed an EPSS contract (Engineering, Procurement and Site Services) with Amur GCC LLC, a subsidiary of PJSC Sibur Holding.

The contract's overall value is approximately €1.2 billion, the significant majority of which pertains to the Maire Tecnimont Group.

The contract relates to the petrochemical development of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex (AGCC). AGCC is the downstream expansion of the Amur Gas Processing Plant (AGPP), a package of which Maire Tecnimont Group is currently executing in Svobodny city, located in the Amur region in the Far East of the Russian Federation, close to the border with China.

The project entails the implementation of several large-scale polyolefin units, and its Mechanical Completion is expected within 2024.

This project is going to be one the largest petrochemical facilities in the world and will be fed with products associated to natural gas of the AGPP project. The entire gas development initiative – composed of AGPP and AGCC – located in the Amur region, represents therefore a gamechanger in the global energy processing scenario.

NUOVO CONTRATTO PETROLCHIMICO AGGIUDICATO NELLA FEDERAZIONE RUSSA A UN CONSORZIO GUIDATO DA MAIRE TECNIMONT

• Il progetto è relativo alla seconda fase dell'inizativa di trattamento gas Amur e riguarda la realizzazione di uno dei maggiori impianti petrolchimichi al mondo

Milano, 05 maggio 2020 – Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. annuncia che la propria controllata Tecnimont S.p.A., in qualità di leader del consorzio con MT Russia LLC, Sinopec Engineering Inc. e Sinopec Engineering Group Co., Ltd Russian Branch, si è aggiudicata un contratto EPSS (Engineering, Procurement and Site Services) da parte di Amur GCC LLC, società controllata da PJSC Sibur Holding.

Il valore complessivo del contratto è pari a circa €1,2 miliardi, di cui la rilevante maggioranza e' di competenza del Gruppo Maire Tecnimont.

Il contratto riguarda lo sviluppo petrolchimico del Amur Gas Chemical Complex (AGCC). AGCC costituisce l'espansione downstream dell'impianto di trattamento gas Amur (AGPP), nella città di Svobodny, nella regione dell'Amur, nell'estremo oriente della Federazione Russa, vicino al confine con la Cina, per il quale il Gruppo Maire Tecnimont attualmente sta eseguendo uno dei pacchetti.

Il progetto comprende varie linee di produzione di poliolefine di larga scala. La mechanical completion del progetto è attesa entro il 2024.

Questo progetto darà vita ad uno dei maggiori impianti petrolchimici al mondo e sarà alimentato dai prodotti associati al gas naturale del progetto AGPP. L'intera iniziativa di sviluppo del gas nella regione dell'Amur – comprendente sia AGPP, che AGCC – rappresenta pertanto un punto di svolta nello scenario energetico globale.
