Executive Chairman and Company Secretary

We are pleased to announce that Mr Nicholas Andrews has accepted the role of Executive Chairman & CEO at AML. Mr Andrews has served as a non Executive Director since 2007 and has made an important contribution to the Group in that period. Under Mr Andrews' leadership AML will continue to pursue customers for its suite of patented magnesium alloys and melt processes. Mr Andrews said that " AML has a wealth of talent and an unrivalled depth of technical knowledge in the magnesium industry. With our new joint venture plant now commissioned in China, AML is poised to properly exploit its exceptional suite of magnesium technologies over the next few years".

We also announce the resignation of Mr Stuart Fitton from the Board of AML and from the role of joint Company Secretary. (Mr J D Talbot continues as the company’s sole secretary.) Mr Fitton has been an AML Board Member since May 2007 and brought many years of business experience to the company. During his tenure Mr Fitton was responsible for identifying AML’s joint venture partners in China and the commissioning of the JV manufacturing plant at Changge, Henan Province, China. The JV company, HNKWE, is now established and Mr Fitton will continue to provide production advice and marketing input in his new role as the President of AML China Operations.

The Board of AML expresses its sincere appreciation to Mr Fitton for his invaluable contribution to AML.
