Peter Warne succeeds Kevin McCann AM as Chairman of Macquarie Group and Macquarie Bank effective today

SYDNEY, 1 April 2016 – As previously announced on 24 September 2015, Mr H Kevin McCann AM has retired as Chairman and as a Voting Director of Macquarie Group Limited (ASX: MQG; ADR: MQBKY) and Macquarie Bank Limited (ASX: MBL) effective 31 March 2016. Independent Director, Mr Peter Warne, has succeeded Mr McCann as Chairman of both companies.

Mr Warne will remain as Chairman of the Board Remuneration Committee until 7 May 2016, at which time Michael Hawker will succeed him as Chairman of this Committee.
