Macmahon announces changes to senior management

Macmahon Holdings Limited (ASX: MAH) today announced the appointment of Mark Hamilton to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer Construction.

Mark joined Macmahon’s Construction business in 2005 as the Queensland State Manager and more recently held the position of EGM Construction East. Mark has more than 30 years’ experience in the construction and resources services sector, having held roles with companies including Walter Construction, Leighton Contractors and Shell Gabon Limited, both in Australia and overseas.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the new position will mirror the structure currently in place for our Mining business.

Macmahon Chief Executive Nick Bowen said, “Mark’s extensive experience and leadership in the delivery of major infrastructure means he is well credentialed to take this important role across the Construction Business.

A decision has also been made to appoint a senior Macmahon manager to the important role of General Manager Mongolia. Neil Wilson, currently EGM HSEQ has accepted the new position of GM Mongolia and will transfer to the International Mining Business. Responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment at a Group level will therefore be merged with Human Resources and will report to Angie Young, currently EGM Human Resources.

“The resulting simplification of the Group Executive Structure will provide operational efficiencies without compromising the Company’s focus on safety in delivering its diverse range of projects,” Mr Bowen said.
