On February 22, 2017, Gregory J. McCray, a director of CenturyLink, Inc. (the “Company”) since 2005, notified the Company of his decision to resign from the Company’s Board of Directors effective February 23, 2017, following his acceptance of a position with Access, an Alphabet subsidiary.

A copy of the Company’s press release announcing Mr. McCray’s resignation is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
