Munich, December 09, 2009 - The Munich based fashion house LUDWIG BECK AG
(ISIN DE 0005199905) today announces the successful start of its Christmas
sale 2009. The development of revenues and earnings is higher than last
years' values and clearly outperforms previous expectations of the
management. Therefore, the Executive Board of the company officially raises
the earnings forecast for the financial year 2009.

According to the new outlook the expected EBT margin based on the company's
net sales shall be higher than 6.5 % instead of previously predicted 5 %.
This would correspond to a result from ordinary activities (EBT) of more
than EUR 5.5m. In 2008, the company achieved earnings amounting to EUR
4.4m.

'Due to a very difficult economic situation at the beginning of this fiscal
year, it was very hard to determine the entire company's development for
2009. Now we can proudly present our first full year estimates', explains
Dieter Münch, member of the Executive Board of LUDWIG BECK AG. 'We are more
than satisfied with the surge in earnings of more than 25 % and we are
pleased to reap the fruits of our consistently implemented trading-up
strategy. With such a positive result, we will surely not forget our
outstanding and highly committed employees', so Münch further.

The Trading Statement for the financial year 2009 will be published on
January 11, 2010.
