Munich, February 08, 2007 - The Munich based Fashion Company LUDWIG BECK
(ISIN 0005199905) has shown an increase in profits and closed the 2006
business year successfully. The company’s total sales amounted to EUR
101.3m (previous year EUR 101.7m). The comparable turnover on a like for
like floor space basis increased by 1.8 %. According TextilWirtschaft the
retail industry as a whole reported an increase of only 1 % for the year
2006.

The operating profit (EBIT) increased significantly by 17.5 % and was
recorded at EUR 6.8m (previous year EUR 5.7m). The EBIT margin was
recorded at 7.7 % (previous year 6.6 %). The day to day trading performance
of the firm throughout the financial year jumped to a new high of EUR 3.1m
in comparison with last years performance of EUR 1.8m. The results
excluding minorities for 2006 have grown to more than double, they were
recorded this year at EUR 1.4m (previous year EUR 0.6m).

CFO for LUDWIG BECK AG. 'Through the continuation of our `trading up´
strategy in combination with an increase in cost optimizations has allowed
us to further strengthen and develop our market position. LUDWIG BECK as an
investment value should provide many positive surprises over the course of
2007', Münch added.
