Loyal Lithium Limited ( ASX:LLI ) ( Loyal Lithium , LLI or the Company ) is pleased to provide its Quarterly Activity Report for the three-month period ended 31 December 2022.

Operations Highlights
Trieste Lithium Project:

Trieste Lithium Project is a large-scale lithium project located 14km East of Winsome Resources’ (ASX: WR1) Adina Lithium Project drill hole that recently recorded a significant lithium mineralised intercept[1] .

Loyal Lithium is the largest land holder in the highly prospective Trieste Greenstone Belt with the Trieste Lithium Project covering 251 km[2] – 8.6 times larger than Winsome Resources’ (ASX: WR1) Adina Lithium Project.

Scotty Lithium Project:

Strong lithium-boron results reported 4km east of LLI’s Scotty Target 2 on the adjacent Bonnie Claire Project. Two mineralised layers with assays of 5,570ppm Lithium and >10,000ppm Boron[3] maximum

Cash available to the Company at the end of the Quarter 31st December 2022 was $6,573,000.

Exploration and Evaluation Expenditure during the quarter was $352,000. Full details of exploration activity during the quarter are set out in this report and relate primarily to a geophysics survey, geological field sampling expenses, assay costs, geological consultants’ services, field expenses and consumables.

Payment to related parties of the Company and their associates during the quarter was $57,000.

The Company’s disclosures required by ASX Listing Rule 5.3.4 regarding a comparison of its actual expenditure to 31 December 2022 since listing on 6 July 2021 against the “Use of Funds” statement in its prospectus dated 16 April 2021 is included in the attached Appendix 5B. Based on exploration undertaken post the listing of the Company on ASX, the Company has previously announced to ASX its decision to investigate the potential divestment or joint venture of the Monger North, Monger South and Gibraltar Projects. Consequently, other than in order to maintain those projects in good standing pending any such divestment or joint venture decision, the Company will not be incurring further exploration expenditure on those projects. For further information please see the ASX release “Operations Update” dated 26 August 2022, and ASX release “Western Australian Operations Update” dated 10 November 2022.

Trieste Lithium Project
The 100% owned Trieste Lithium Project is a large-scale lithium Project located 14km east of Winsome Resources’ (ASX: WR1) Adina Lithium Project drill hole that recently recorded a significant Lithium mineralised intercept of 1.34% over 107.6m[1 ] (figure 2). Loyal Lithium acquired the Trieste Lithium Project in October 2022 - prior to the recent drill campaign results at the Adina Lithium Project.

Loyal Lithium is the largest land holder within the highly prospective Trieste Greenstone Belt. The Trieste Lithium Project covers 251 km[2] , which is 8.6 times larger than Winsome Resources’ (ASX: WR1) Adina Lithium Project. The project area includes a 39 km long contact zone in the Trieste Greenstone Belt with a significant amount of historical data. Although the Project hasn’t ever previously been explored for lithium, it does contain an anomalous historical lithium assay site (180ppm Li).
A database of historical data was built, sourced from public domain data, previous exploration company reports and spreadsheets. The dataset found substantially more outcrop samples categorised as two different types of pegmatites, both known to contain lithium, with one alkaline type that is the same as that found at Winsome’s Adina. The Trieste Lithium Project has 153 logged pegmatite outcrop observations, 35 of which are the same classification as those identified at Winsome Resources’ (ASX: WR1) Adina Lithium Project. This is a notable 11 times more I1A type pegmatite observations than at Adina. The historical data also includes 118 I1G mapped Pegmatite observations. Both I1A Type and I1G Type pegmatites historically field logged by geologists are prospective for lithium containing mineral, spodumene.
The plutonic rock classification derives from the logging code systems used by historical explorers which is required to be used in submitted reports to the regulator in Quebec (MERN). The logging code system is in French as the primary language which takes precedence, translated into the English language:

French: SIGEOM Roche I1A Granite à feldspath alcalin et I1G Pegmatite (granitique).

English: I1A granite with alkali feldspars and I1G granitic pegmatite.

“I” means igneous
-
“1” is the felsic end of the spectrum while “4” is ultramafic
-
"A" represents Alkali feldspar
For example, an I2A is Syénite quartzifère à feldspath alcalin, Alkali feldspar quartz syenite.

In consultation with in-country geological partners, Loyal Lithium continues to execute on their formulated work plan:
-
Historical data review: Assessment and consideration of the 153 logged pegmatite outcrop observations, scoping of potential aeromagnetic, EM and MT surveys are in progress to refine field targets.
-
Geochemical testing of pegmatites found in historical drill core at the southern end of the project: The core has been located in Mirage Outfitters (A camp North of Trieste). The team has removed the trays from the elements, melted the ice, cut the core and sent the samples to the lab.
-
Satellite imagery: The Company has engaged consultants to utilise historical satellite data, to both multi/hyper-spectrally characterise/identify and prioritise outcrops across the entire property. Results expected in February 2023.

Field program: As an output of the data review, drill core assays and satellite imagery, a Spring/Summer 2023 field program will be formulated. Targets and transit routes will be ranked and mapped in order of prospectivity. In-country geological partners, Dahrouge Geological Consulting, will be engaged to perform the field work programs, sampling and interpretation. Work is currently planned to commence in late May 2023 (weather permitting). Parallel drilling permits are being considered for the most prospective targets.

Geophysics programs: As an output of the work to date subsequent geophysics programs are now being considered. Type and availability to be determined in the coming quarter.
Scotty Lithium Project
The Scotty Lithium Project covers 78.1 km[2] and is located 189km northwest of Las Vegas and 517 km from Reno in the Tier 1 mining jurisdiction of Nevada, USA. The Scotty Lithium Project has twin
prospects of lithium brines and lithium sediments and is adjacent to the existing Iconic Minerals Ltd (TSXV: ICM) Bonnie Claire Project, with similar geology. Scotty is less than 100km from Albemarle’s operational Silver Peak Mine in Clayton Valley (NYSE:ALB) and Ioneer’s Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project (ASX:INR).
Significant progress was achieved this quarter on the Scotty Lithium Project (figure 3) to enable drilling to start in the subsequent quarter in 2023, including;

Dahrouge Geological Consulting Inc. - USA engaged to manage requests for proposals, drill site preparation and drill program.

An environmental survey by consultants Knight and Levitt commissioned by LLI, was submitted as an addendum to the Notice to Conduct Exploration with regulator, The Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

MT Geophysics Survey and interpretation
Notice of Intent to Conduct Exploration, with drill holes revised based on the acquisition of historical exploration data and newly acquired MT data, was submitted to and accepted as a complete application for final appraisal by the BLM.

A 19.2km magnetotelluric geophysics survey (MT) was completed on five traverses across the width of claims. The aim is to determine the depth of sediments and type of sediments that host lithium (clay sized sediment) and the depth to the basement from surface. Inversion modelling on the data is being completed by a consultant geophysicist taking into account publicly available and acquired historical MT inversion interpretations and gravity data. Results expected in the forthcoming quarter.
Iconic Minerals recent 2022 drill campaign has recorded remarkable lithium values to a maximum of 5,570ppm and boron to >10,000ppm, 4km east of LLI’s Target 2 boundary[3] . Target 2 is in the mid-west of the Project area covering an area in excess of 10km[2] , with >165ppm lithium and a peak value of 448ppm lithium, which is more than 40% higher than the maximum soils value found on the adjacent Bonnie Claire resource surface, which occurs over an approximate 16 km[2] area at depth. LLI’s Target 2 soil assay results have been reviewed to note confirmed anomalous boron values, with a maximum of up to 3,360ppm. More recent Iconic drilling has been completed only 1km east of LLI claims[5] . This is within range to imply geological and grade continuity to the eastern boundary of LLI’s claims.

Brisk Lithium Project
A total of 192 mining claims covering 98.5km[2] were acquired when the option was exercised with Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd after field survey outcrop assay results were received (figure 3). The claims are divided into six separate claim blocks, extending over 70km in an east-west direction. A maiden geological mapping and sampling program along traverses, with helicopter transport dropped Geologists onto air photo and historically mapped pegmatite and logged indicator minerals targets. A total of 145 samples were sent for analysis for lithium and 57 elements[7] .
Based on the findings of the inaugural field program, LLI has formulated the following work plan:

Complete field mapping in Areas 1, 2 & 3
-
Conduct field mapping programs on the southeast of Area 1 and prospective portions of Areas 2 and Area 3 that were not covered in the 6-day inaugural field program.

Area 1 additional detailed field traverses – With the support of the inaugural field program geochemical results additional traverses will be planned for the most prospective pegmatites.
Area 1 is the most prospective for lithium bearing pegmatites at Brisk, with geochemical results from Area 1 supporting higher degrees of crystal fractionation in the pegmatites of this Area, which can potentially lead to spodumene crystallization.
Area 2 has two types of pegmatites with one displaying a clear pegmatitic texture, favourable mineralogy (muscovite bearing) and litho-geochemistry. This suggests that further work on Area 2 is required and may be prospective for lithium.

Monger North, South and Gibraltar Projects
An expression of interest was received for Mining Tenement Application at Gibraltar.
The conclusion of the August and then the November Strategic Review[8] now lists all Western Australian gold and base metal assets as better suited for joint venture or divestment with the following principal features:

Monger North Project: LLI discovered 16,400 oz JORC Inferred gold resource

Gibraltar Project: Exploration target tonnage and gold grade range between a minimum of 285,500t @ 0.71g/t; maximum 386,000t @ 0.97g/t, advanced by LLI. [NOTE: due to the uncertainty in supporting data, these minimum and maximum tonnage and grade ranges are conceptual in nature, as there has been insufficient exploration to estimate a JORC Mineral Resource. It is uncertain if further exploration will result in JORC Mineral Resource estimates.]

Monger South Project: zinc-copper-silver (ZCS) outcrop sample assays associated with FLEM geophysics conductor anomaly discovered by LLI. Also gold, nickel and ZCS outcrop sample assays and soils anomalies found elsewhere

Based on exploration undertaken post the listing of the Company on ASX, the Company has previously announced to ASX its decision to investigate the potential divestment or joint venture of the Monger North, Monger South and Gibraltar Projects. Consequently, other than in order to maintain those projects in good standing pending any such divestment or joint venture decision, the Company will not be incurring further exploration expenditure on those projects. For further information please see the ASX release “ Operations Update ” dated 26 August 2022, and ASX release “ Western Australian Operations Update ” dated 10 November 2022.
