SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE RETAINS MANTOS GRANDES COPPER–GOLD PROJECT, CHILE

Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited (ASX: SUH ) (“Southern Hemisphere” or the “Company”) advises that the farm-in agreement executed in 2013 between the Company and Cobre Montana NL (ASX: CXB) with respect to the Mantos Grandes Copper-Gold Project (the “Project”) has ended.

Per the terms of the farm-in agreement, CXB was required to provide an election to proceed with the Project. The Company has not received this election and the Company has terminated the farm-in agreement. As a result, the Company retains its 100% interest in the Project having banked $350,000 in farm-in option payments as well as related exploration management fees.

Other parties have expressed an interest in the Project and the Company will explore these opportunities in due course. The Company remains focussed on its operations in the Coquimbo region.
