LITGRID - Notification on material event

Price cap for electricity transmission rate set

Vilnius, Lithuania, 2015-01-20 09:18 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On 19 January 2015, the National Control Commission for Prices and Energy (hereinafter - the Commission) set the price cap of 0,6204 EUR ct/kWh (2,1421 EUR ct/kWh) for electricity transmission rate with effect from January 1st, 2016. Since the Commission did not contact electricity transmission system operator Litgrid with regard to data, required for setting the price cap for the period of 2016-2020, Litgrid has reasonable doubts whether the said price cap was set using the correct data. Litgrid will examine the potential impact of the Commission's set rate on company's operations and ongoing projects.
