EPSO-G Group Audit Committee under the Supervisory Board elected

Vilnius, Lithuania, 2016-09-12 15:33 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On September 12, a general shareholders’ meeting of EPSO-G Group elected an Audit Committee under the Supervisory Board for a four-year term. The Audit Committee will be comprised of the members of the EPSO-G Supervisory Board: an independent member of the Supervisory Board Raimondas Rapkevičius, deputy general director and finance director of UAB „General Financing“ and a member of the Supervisory Board Audrius Misevičius, advisor on social issues to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania. Gediminas Šiušas, accounting director of UAB Western Union Processing Lithuania, was elected as an independent member of the Audit Committee. EPSO-G Audit Committee operates as an advisory body of the Supervisory Board in the areas of internal control and operational risk management. The main functions of the Audit Committee include supervision of the drafting of financial statements and of the audit process, the enforcement of the principles of independence and objectivity of auditors and audit companies, the supervision of internal control, risk management, and internal audit systems, and the management of effectiveness of business processes.
