LISI MEDICAL, A SUBSIDIARY OF THE LISI GROUP, ACQUIRES STRYKER CORPORATION'S BENOIST-GIRARD MANUFACTURING FACILITY; ENTERS INTO A MULTI-YEAR SUPPLY AGREEMENT WITH STRYKER

LISI Group (Euronext Paris ISIN code FR0000050353 – FII) today announced that it has finalized a definitive agreement with Stryker Corporation (NYSE:SYK) to:

• acquire the manufacturing assets of Stryker's Benoist Girard facility located in Caen-Hérouville (France); and
• manufacture and supply forged orthopaedic components to Stryker within the framework of a five-year contract.

This completes the process initially described in a press release dated December 8, 2009, and it confirms LISI MEDICAL's strategy to strengthen its position as a world-class manufacturer recognized for the quality of its implants and ancillaries while increasing its global market share in the high growth potential market of forged components, including finished products for the reconstructive sector. This transaction takes place while Benoist-Girard S.A.S's works council has initiated legal action regarding its right for information.

In addition, with this transaction, LISI MEDICAL is improving its medium-term visibility thanks to a five-year supply agreement with Stryker Corporation, one of the world's leading medical technology companies.

With a highly skilled and experienced staff of approximately 250, the Benoist-Girard facility, now named "LISI Medical Orthopaedics", specializes in the manufacturing of orthopaedic implants and instruments. Effective September 1, 2010, the entity will be consolidated into LISI Group as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
