F2020 – a major investment in Aerospace for the LISI Group in Haute-Marne (France)

The LISI Group is moving on with the transformation of the industrial site of Forges de Bologne that was initiated in January 2016.

A leading player in the global forging market for the aerospace industry, the site of Forges de Bologne is the largest industrial employer in Haute-Marne with a total workforce of 750 and annual sales of 107 millions of euros.

The LISI Group herewith confirms that it will build a new plant in the Plein'Est business park in the Chaumont metropolitan area, that will include all the activities currently located in the Bologne plant.

Construction is scheduled to start from the second half of 2018 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2019, with operations to start from mid-2019.

In addition to this major real-estate investment, to be carried out by Immo-bail, a public-private partnership, the Group will invest some 110 millions of euros over several years with a view to achieve operational excellence in aerospace structural components manufacturing.

With this new plant designed to be more energy-efficient, the Group shows its commitment to lower its consumption of natural resources.
