Response to statement by GAM Holding AG

Further to the announcement of 18 April 2023, Liontrust Asset Management Plc ("Liontrust", or the "Company"), the specialist independent fund management group, notes the announcement made today by GAM Holding AG ("GAM") that on conclusion of the commercial discussions, which includes discussions with Liontrust about a combination of the two firms, within their strategic review, a further update is expected on or prior to 4 May 2023.

There can be no certainty that this will lead to a formal offer in respect of the proposed acquisition of the entire issued share capital of GAM by Liontrust ("Proposed Acquisition"), nor as to the timing or terms of any such offer, and there can be no assurance that, even if agreement is reached, any such Proposed Acquisition would be completed.  

A further announcement will be made as and when appropriate.
