LIONTRUST ASSET MANAGEMENT PLC

Notification of transactions of directors/persons discharging managerial responsibilities

The information contained in this notification is disclosed in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a) of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority.

Liontrust Asset Management Plc ("the Company") was informed on 01 August 2014 of the following transactions in the Company's ordinary shares of 1p ("Shares") by Directors of the Company.

On 01 August 2014 John Ions exercised 200,000 share options issued to him under the Liontrust Incentive Plan (the "LIP"). Mr Ions subsequently advised the Company that on 01 August 2014 he sold 200,000 shares at 243.375 pence per share. Following this transaction, Mr Ions holds a total of 1,405,148 Shares representing 3.1% of the Company's voting share capital

The Trustee of the Liontrust Asset Management Employee Trust ("EBT") has notified the Company on 01 August 2014 of the following that it:

1.    transferred a total of 200,000 Shares on 01 August 2014 to John Ions following the exercise of options under the LIP;  and

2.    bought in the market a total of 200,000 Shares on 01 August 2014 at a price of 243.375 pence per share.

Following these transactions, the EBT holds a total of 2,527,946 Shares representing 5.6% of the Company's voting share capital. The following directors have an interest as potential beneficiaries of the EBT: Vinay Abrol, Adrian Collins, John Ions and Jonathan Hughes-Morgan.
