PROFIT WARNING

This announcement is made by Link Holdings Limited (the “ Company ”, together with its subsidiaries, the “ Group ”) pursuant to Rule 17.10 of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on the GEM of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the “ GEM Listing Rules ”) and the Inside Information Provisions (as defined under the GEM Listing Rules) under Part XIVA of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (Chapter 571 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

The board (the “ Board ”) of directors (the “ Directors ”) of the Company wishes to inform the shareholders of the Company (the “ Shareholders ”) and potential investors that, based on the information currently available to the Board and the unaudited consolidated management accounts of the Group for the three months ended 31 March 2020 (the “ Period ”), the Group is expected to record a loss attributable to owners of the Company of not less than HK$11 million (three months ended 31 March 2019: profit of approximately HK$1.8 million). The record of such loss for the Period was mainly due to, among others, (i) the recognition of negative revenue from the Group’s distressed debt assets (i.e. income from distressed debt assets classified as receivables less modification loss) as compared to the positive revenue recorded for the corresponding period in the last year; (ii) the incurring of operating loss for the Group’s hotel business in Singapore as a result of the decrease in revenue as compared to the corresponding period in the last year amid the COVID-19 pandemic during the Period; and (iii) the incurring of operating loss for the Group’s hotel business in Japan during its initial stage of operation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Company is still in the process of finalising the first quarterly results of the Group for the Period. The information contained in this announcement is only based on the preliminary assessment made by the Board with reference to the unaudited consolidated management accounts for the Period and information currently available to the Board which has not been audited or reviewed by the auditors or audit committee of the Company and is subject to possible adjustments upon further review. Shareholders and potential investors are advised to read the announcement of the Company in relation to the first quarterly results of the Group for the Period carefully.
