Lend Lease announces Public Finance Initiative hospital contract in Italy

Lend Lease today announces that it has been selected as preferred bidder by Azienda ULSS 9 Treviso to lead a consortium to design and build a €200 million (circa A$252 million) hospital in Treviso, Italy, and provide facility management services over the 21 year concession period.

The project comprises 90,000 square metres of new construction, including a high technology building housing 22 operating theatres and a range of care facilities covering intensive care, radiotherapy, microbiology, nuclear medicine, laboratories and patient wards.

Lend Lease Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Steve McCann, said the contract is a major win for the EMEA business.

“This win builds upon Lend Lease’s international track record in health infrastructure design, delivery and management and adds to the successful delivery of the Brescia 1 & 2 hospital Public Finance Initiative projects in Italy,” said Mr McCann.
