Lend Lease secures A$115m Queensland road project

5 September 2011

Lend Lease today announced it has been awarded a contract by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) for the Mains Road Kessels Road Intersection Upgrade in Brisbane.

The design and construction contract will be delivered by Baulderstone, part of Lend Lease’s Australian infrastructure business. The contract value to Baulderstone is circa A$115 million.

The project is located in the Brisbane Urban Corridor, 11km south of the central business district. The project is due to be completed mid 2014.

Lend Lease Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Mr Steve McCann, said the project builds on the existing relationship with TMR, as well as increasing Baulderstone’s engineering footprint in the state.

“We are pleased to be working with the Department of Transport and Main Roads to deliver this major road project in Queensland which will address a significant bottleneck in the Brisbane Urban Corridor,” said Mr McCann.
