Service Stream awarded NBN Construction Contract in South Australia and Northern Territory

Service Stream today announced that the Syntheo Joint Venture has secured a contract with NBN Co for the rollout of the passive fibre network in South Australia and Northern Territory. The contract is for an initial two year term worth up to $141 million, with an option of a further two years bringing the total potential value to $341 million.

Syntheo is a 50/50 joint venture between Service Stream Limited and the project management and construction arm of Lend Lease.

The contract involves the design and construction of the fibre access network across Northern Territory and South Australia.

The contract win is the second success for the Syntheo Joint Venture following on from its West Australia contract award. Syntheo will continue to bid for additional NBN design and construction work as it becomes available.

Work on the SA/NT project is expected to commence immediately.
