Lendlease Appoints Baroness Margaret Ford OBE to Board

Lendlease today announced the appointment of Baroness Margaret Ford OBE to the Board as an independent Non Executive Director, effective from 1 March 2020.

Based in London, Baroness Ford is a highly experienced Chairman and Non Executive Director with extensive sector experience in development and construction, and infrastructure financing. She has a background in urban development and housing, and has experience in regeneration, planning and public sector reform. Over the last thirty years she has chaired both listed and privately owned companies and led large Government bodies.

She currently serves as Chairman of New River REIT Plc, a specialist real estate investment trust focused primarily on retail and leisure property, listed on the London Stock Exchange, and also as the Chairman of STV Group Plc, a Scottish media company.

Between 2006 and 2012, Baroness Ford led the Olympic Park Legacy Company the public sector organisation responsible for the master planning, development and maintenance of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Prior to this she was Managing Director of Social Infrastructure and Development at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). She joined RBC after stepping down as the Chair of English Partnerships, where she spent six years leading a new approach to housing and regeneration across England. Her earlier career was spent working for various public sector organisations, including Scottish Homes, the national housing agency in Scotland.

Baroness Ford holds a Master of Arts degree from the University of Glasgow and a post graduate Masters degree in Applied Economics. She was appointed to the House of Lords in 2006.
