Lend Lease Appoints Nicola Wakefield Evans to Board

Lend Lease today announced the appointment of Nicola Wakefield Evans to its Board of Directors, effective 1 September 2013.

Ms Wakefield Evans currently serves as a Non Executive Director of Toll Holdings Limited and BUPA Australia and is a Member of the board of Asialink (University of Melbourne) and the Law Advisory Council of the University of New South Wales Law School.

Ms Wakefield Evans holds a Bachelor of Jurisprudence and Laws degree from the University of New South Wales and is a qualified lawyer in Australia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.

Ms Wakefield Evans has been an M&A lawyer for 28 years at King & Wood Mallesons where she has been a partner for nearly 20 years. She has extensive experience as an equity capital markets and M&A lawyer and has been involved in a number of significant and ground-breaking M&A transactions and has advised some of the largest companies in Australia, Asia and globally. She is well known in Asia where she was the Managing Partner, International at King & Wood Mallesons, Hong Kong and is rated by a number of publications as one of the Asian region’s leading M&A, corporate governance, communications and resources & energy lawyers. Ms Wakefield Evans is also a key member of King & Wood Malleson’s corporate governance group and has deep experience providing strategic advice to a number of company boards.

Ms Wakefield Evans will step down as a partner of King & Wood Mallesons on 16 September 2013.

In October 2012, Ms Wakefield Evans was included in the Australian Financial Review and Westpac Group’s inaugural list of ‘Australia’s 100 Women of Influence.’

Lend Lease Chairman, David Crawford welcomed Ms Wakefield Evans to the Board.

Lend Lease will continue to assess the composition of the Board to ensure the appropriate mix of construction, development, financial, legal and other skills that meet the needs of the Group,” said Mr Crawford.
